As another door opens wide and broad for this tremendously gifted vocalist, Denise Strothers does not hesitate to acknowledge that all glory and honor belong to God. The stage has been set and the time has come for her to take her place before mass audiences, as a dynamic leader in worship and praise.
She's a wife, a mother, a sister, the daughter of a Pastor, and a friend. Denise is many things, but her new album OUTPOURING, shows her as she truly is at the very core of her soul: "I am a worshipper," she says.
That simple yet powerful assertion forms the foundation of her new CD. It's a praise and worship album with competing themes of praise and humility, exhortation and surrender. As you will find, her unique musical style embodies a mixture of power, passion, and purpose. Carried by God’s anointing, this combination renders a captivating delivery every time she ministers.
Denise serves as the Minister of Music at Dominion Church of Washington, D.C. , where she and her family attend. "There's power in getting people to really forget about themselves and focus on God to the best of their abilities, from the bottom of their hearts," Denise says. "I know that part of my mission, my calling, is to bring His people into a higher place of praise-that place where you lose yourself, that place of clarity where you can see His purpose and why you're going through certain things." OUTPOURING will hopefully encourage people to praise and worship God the way He deserves."
Denise is an ordained Minister and serves on the Leader of the Women in Dominion – a ministry designed to equip women for success in ministry, unity, and excellence. Additionally, she founded and directed the Intercessory Prayer Ministry and currently conducts Noonday Prayer every Wednesday. "We have such powerful times every Wednesday. God has given us a format that is different than most prayer meetings and it has changed lives tremendously." She has achieved many great victories on behalf of DCW and the Body of Christ at-large. She is a teacher of God's word and is an encourager to the body of Christ. "I believe that God is ready to prosper his church like never before. I believe that one of my assignments is to prepare the church to get ready for increase."
